In short
- The English release is reported for Friday, 5 February 2027, with prerelease events from 23 to 31 January 2027.
- Flowing Fists (ME07, code FLO) matches the Japanese set Aura Seeker (M7), which launches on 27 November 2026.
- Mega Lucario Z ex is the headline card and was shown at the closing ceremony of the 2026 Pokémon World Championships.
- Data: Bill's Archive (as of 23.10.2026), an expectation based on earlier sets, not an announcement.
- Two things in January 2027 are firm enough to plan around: the prerelease week from 23 to 31 January and the Valentine's Box on 27 January.
Flowing Fists, the first English Pokémon TCG set of 2027, is reported for release on 5 February. Mega Lucario Z ex fronts the set. Something already happens in January, though: prerelease events run from 23 to 31 January, and the Valentine's Box is due on 27 January.
Flowing Fists is reported for 5 February 2027, with prerelease starting in January
The English release is reported for Friday, 5 February 2027, with prerelease events from 23 to 31 January 2027. If you heard "January", the prerelease week is probably what people mean.
Sources disagree on how firm this is. PokeBeach reported the name, date and prerelease on 20 October 2026. Wargamer wrote on 21 October that Pokémon had announced the name and date. Bill's Archive still treats both as a report on 23 October, one The Pokémon Company has not confirmed. We therefore treat the date as reported, not settled.
Data: Wargamer (updated 21.10.2026), Bill's Archive (as of 23.10.2026), PokeBeach via Bill's Archive (20.10.2026).
There are 70 days between the Japanese launch on 27 November 2026 and the reported English date. There is no separate date for other regions yet, and no localised title. Once both are official, we will add Flowing Fists to the release calendar.
At a prerelease you usually receive packs of the new set and build a deck from them. The organiser sets the exact rules, start times and fees. Expect popular dates to fill up quickly, especially on weekends.
Tip: plan for the prerelease week, not only for 5 February. Whether and where you can play is up to your local organiser, so ask early.
Flowing Fists is the English version of Aura Seeker, with 80 cards
Flowing Fists (ME07, code FLO) matches the Japanese set Aura Seeker (M7), which launches on 27 November 2026. The date is on pokemon-card.com, where the set has 78 cards.
The English edition has 80 cards in the main set according to Bill's Archive, numbered up to 080, plus secret rares with higher numbers. PokeBeach expects an almost identical copy of the Japanese list, so few cards should be added. A German site gives around 120 cards in total. The two figures probably only look different, because that total includes the secret rares. There is no official overall count.
The set belongs to the Mega Evolution era and, in the English release plan, follows Delta Reign (ME06), the current set. All three cards shown so far carry regulation mark J. That matters for tournament players, because the mark decides when a card becomes legal in Standard rotation and for how long.
Data: Bill's Archive (card list as of 21.10.2026), pokemon-card.com (Aura Seeker, 23.10.2026), Pokezentrum (21.10.2026).
Because the English list nearly matches the Japanese one, it pays to follow the Aura Seeker previews. New cards shown in Japan usually appear there earlier than in the English edition. Watch the numbering: English cards carry a number one higher, as with Mega Lucario Z ex (058/080 instead of 057).
The 70 days between Japan and the English edition give you time to gather information. They also mean that card and product details can still change by February, including rarities and numbers.

💰 Compare prices →Three cards are known, and Mega Lucario Z ex leads the set
Three English cards have been shown so far. All three also appear in Aura Seeker, each with a number one lower there. Mega Lucario Z ex is the headline card and was shown at the closing ceremony of the 2026 Pokémon World Championships.
| Card | Number | Rarity | Type | Regulation mark |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mega Lucario Z ex | 058/080 | Double Rare | Metal | J |
| Sigilyph ex | 032/080 | Double Rare | Psychic | J |
| Riolu | 045/080 | Common | Fighting | J |
Data: Bill's Archive, card status as of 21.10.2026.
Mega Lucario Z ex
Its Ability shares the set's name: "Aura Seeker" lets you fetch any Supporter card from your deck. The attack deals 120 damage according to Wargamer, and twice that against Pokémon ex. Search plus heavy damage against ex cards makes it a card players will test early.
Sigilyph ex
Sigilyph ex blocks all damage from Mega Evolution Pokémon. That points the card at decks built around Mega Evolutions. How well it works in tournaments will only be clear once the full card list is out.
Riolu
Riolu is a Common, the basic form of the Fighting-type line. It matters to collectors who want a complete set and to players building Lucario decks.
Samurai Sword Tokyo reports that further cards were shown in Japan, including four new Mega Attack Rares (Mega Greninja ex, Mega Rayquaza ex, Mega Darkrai ex and Mega Zygarde ex). The sources do not say whether they belong to Aura Seeker or to a later set, so we do not list them as part of Flowing Fists.
These products are expected for Flowing Fists, but none is confirmed
The Pokémon Company has not published anything about products yet. Bill's Archive expects the same range as recent English sets, which would mean eight product types.
| Expected product | Expected contents | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Booster Pack | single pack | not confirmed |
| Booster Box | 36 packs | not confirmed |
| Elite Trainer Box | standard version | not confirmed |
| Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box | Pokémon Center version | not confirmed |
| Build & Battle Box | starter box for play | not confirmed |
| Booster Bundle | 6 packs | not confirmed |
| Blister | 3 packs | not confirmed |
| Checklane Blister | small retail variant | not confirmed |
Data: Bill's Archive (as of 23.10.2026), an expectation based on earlier sets, not an announcement.
We will create a guide and price pages for Flowing Fists once products and date are official. Until then, the price pages of the current set help you get a feel for each product type, as described below.
January brings the prerelease and the Valentine's Box
Two things in January 2027 are firm enough to plan around: the prerelease week from 23 to 31 January and the Valentine's Box on 27 January. Reports describe the box as the first Valentine's Day product of the Pokémon TCG.
GameRant reports a box with 20 mini boosters of three cards each from a dedicated set, plus five sticker sheets. According to Screen Rant, the carton can be folded into a small mailbox. There are no official product images yet, and no price.
The sources disagree here as well. GameRant says The Pokémon Company announced the product on 3 October 2026. Other reports treat the date only as a PokeBeach report. Screen Rant estimates 30 to 50 cards, but 20 packs of three cards would make 60. The contradiction is unresolved, so we give no card count for the box.
What to know about the Valentine's Box before buying: there are no official images and no price, and the sources disagree on its status and card count. Treat pre-orders without a price or with unclear contents with caution. It is better to wait for the official announcement before you commit money.
Data: GameRant (3.10.2026), Screen Rant (6.10.2026).
23 January 2027 is a Saturday and 31 January a Sunday. The reported prerelease week therefore spans two weekends and nine days. The Valentine's Box date, 27 January, falls on a Wednesday.
- Prerelease. 23 to 31 January 2027, reported by PokeBeach, not officially confirmed.
- Valentine's Box. 27 January 2027, 20 mini boosters of 3 cards and 5 sticker sheets, sources differ on its status.
- Flowing Fists. 5 February 2027, nine days after the box.
Delta Reign is the current set until Flowing Fists, and these products are available now
Until February, Delta Reign (ME06) is the current English set. It releases on 6 November 2026, with prerelease events from 24 October. Mega Rayquaza ex is the headline card, and you will find the card list and chase cards in the Delta Reign guide.
Many shops still list Delta Reign as a pre-order, and prices can change before release. On CardPulse you see offers from Poland, Germany and the US for each product type, together with the price history. The chart shows the lowest price by default, and a slider switches it to the median.
Here is how to read price history for a brand-new set: the lowest price is the cheapest available offer of the day, the median is the middle price across all offers. During pre-orders the two often sit far apart, because some shops list early and others late.
Also look at the number of shops, since a lowest price from a single seller says little about the market. CardPulse compares offers from over 170 shops in Poland, Germany and the US and adds data from Cardmarket and TCGplayer.

Tip: if you are torn between Delta Reign and Flowing Fists, watch the price history of Delta Reign products after release. It shows how prices move for a fresh set in the first weeks. It is not a forecast for Flowing Fists.
Which set suits whom, and how to prepare for release
If you have Delta Reign and Flowing Fists both in view, you can approach each set with a different goal. This is not a buying recommendation, because Flowing Fists prices are not known yet.
- Tournament players. The three known cards all carry regulation mark J. See which Mega decks pick up Mega Lucario Z ex and Sigilyph ex before you buy singles.
- Collectors. With 80 cards in the main set plus secret rares, Flowing Fists is a manageable set to complete. The exact rarities will only be clear with the full list.
- Sealed buyers. Delta Reign has products you can compare today. For Flowing Fists it is still open which products exist and what they cost. A pre-order does not guarantee a price.
| Delta Reign | Flowing Fists | |
|---|---|---|
| Set code | ME06 | ME07 (FLO) |
| Release (English) | 6 November 2026 | 5 February 2027, reported |

When comparing, also look at the language edition. An English product is not the same as a Japanese, Chinese or Korean edition, even when they share a set name. Check whether an offer is a pre-order or an in-stock product, and whether prices are given in euros, zloty or dollars. A low price without these details is hard to compare.
These steps help until release:
- Check the date. Wait for confirmation on pokemon.com before you complete pre-orders with a cancellation deadline.
- Compare prices. There are no reliable Flowing Fists prices yet. Until then, look at the Delta Reign Booster Box and the Elite Trainer Box. All offers are in the price comparison.
- Set an alert. With a free account you can set a price alert for Delta Reign products and find out when an offer reaches your target price.
- Wait for the full card list. Only then will you see which cards make the set interesting for play and collecting.
- Plan your collection. In the collection tracker you note which cards you still need.
After Flowing Fists come MEGA x MEGA Parade and possibly ex★
Japan is reported to get MEGA x MEGA Parade, a High Class Pack, on 19 February 2027. PokeBeach reported this on 25 August 2026, and it is not officially confirmed. The set could close out the Mega era.
A new mechanic called "ex★" with Suicune, Raikou and Entei is also mentioned, but the reports are thin. An animated Pokémon TCG film is also announced for 2027, the first animated Pokémon film in seven years. According to one source, Pokémon often presents its yearly plan around Pokémon Day on 27 February. Until then, much remains speculation.
Data: Kanto Post (31.8.2026, updated 18.9.2026), PokeBeach via Samurai Sword Tokyo.
That is why we separate confirmed from reported dates in our articles, and we will update this post when The Pokémon Company officially presents Flowing Fists. You will find all upcoming sets in the release calendar, and the guides are collected on the Pokémon sets page.
Terms and sources: how to read release reports
For a set that is five months away, the source decides how reliable a statement is. We treat as official what The Pokémon Company publishes on pokemon.com, in its press area or, for Japan, on pokemon-card.com. Everything else is a report, even if it later turns out right almost every time.
- Check the official site. If the date is on pokemon.com or pokemon-card.com, you can plan around it.
- Look for a second source. When several independent sites agree, the date is more likely. Sites that copy each other do not count twice.
- Read the date of the report. A figure from 20 October can be outdated by 25 October.
- Mind the region. An English date does not automatically apply to your local retail.
A few terms from this article in short:
- Double Rare. The rarity level of regular ex cards. Mega Lucario Z ex and Sigilyph ex belong to it.
- Secret Rare. Cards numbered higher than the set size, here above 080.
- Regulation mark. The letter on the card, here J. It decides in which tournament formats the card is allowed.
- Prerelease. Events before the official sale date where you play with packs of the new set.
- Checklane Blister. A small retail product, usually with a few packs.
For Flowing Fists this means: the Japanese date of 27 November is firm, and everything English stays a report until it is officially announced. If you pre-order, know the shop's cancellation terms in case the date moves.
Data: pokemon-card.com (23.10.2026), Wargamer (21.10.2026), Bill's Archive (23.10.2026).
