In short
- The Valentine's Box packaging lists three things: 20 "Collect & Share" booster packs of 3 cards, 1 Valentine's mailbox and 5 sticker sheets.
- PokeGuardian, ICv2 and PokéZentrum give January 15, 2027 as the release date for US retail.
- The only offer in CardPulse data is a preorder from a US shop at $29.95, which is 99.8% above the MSRP.
- The Halloween Trick or Trade mini packs, also 3 cards each, cost from 6.99 PLN in Poland, from €2 in Germany and from $1 in the US on November 2.
- Full Trick or Trade boxes are expensive in Europe: the 2023 bundle with 50 packs cost €169.99 at one German shop and 449.99 PLN at one Polish shop on November 2.
Pokémon TCG: Valentine's Box holds 20 mini packs of 3 cards each and carries a US MSRP of $14.99, which works out to $0.75 per pack. US retail release is planned for January 15, 2027. The first preorder in CardPulse data already costs $29.95, though, and no shop in Poland or Germany lists it yet.
Here is what is known about the Valentine's box, what it could realistically cost outside the US, and what the Halloween Trick or Trade, a similar seasonal product, tells us. Prices come from CardPulse on November 2, 2026. Product details come from sources dated October 29 and 30, 2026.
What is in Valentine's Box: 20 packs of 3 cards, a mailbox and 5 sticker sheets
The Valentine's Box packaging lists three things: 20 "Collect & Share" booster packs of 3 cards, 1 Valentine's mailbox and 5 sticker sheets. That adds up to 60 cards in one box.
Data: packaging photo from a US shop's preorder listing (Oct 31, 2026), PokeGuardian (Oct 29, 2026), ICv2 (Oct 30, 2026), PokéZentrum (Oct 29, 2026).
- 20 Collect & Share packs. Small 3-card packs made for handing out. The box says "Includes 20 3-card booster packs".
- Valentine's mailbox. Once unfolded, the box turns into a card mailbox, like the ones used in American classrooms on Valentine's Day.
- Sticker sheets. The packaging shows the number 5. PokeGuardian describes 2 "To/From" label sheets and 3 decorating sheets, which adds up to the same 5. ICv2 mentions fewer sheets, so we treat the count as confirmed by the packaging, not by every report.
- Artwork. The front shows Pikachu, Jigglypuff and Sylveon, and the badge shows Luvdisc.
Nobody knows yet which cards are inside the packs. PokeGuardian says outright that the card designs have not been shown. PokéZentrum speculates about reprints with a Valentine's stamp, but that is only a guess. Until an official card list appears, there is no way to tell whether anything valuable is in the box.
The first Valentine's product in Pokémon TCG
According to industry reports, this is the first Pokémon TCG product made specifically for Valentine's Day. We found no earlier Valentine's sets from 2025 or 2026. The only "love" product in CardPulse data is the 2022 Poké Ball Tin "Love Ball", which has nothing to do with Valentine's Day beyond the name.
The closest comparison is therefore the Halloween Trick or Trade BOOster Bundle. It is the same idea: many small 3-card packs that kids hand out instead of candy. That is why the rest of this article compares prices with Trick or Trade.
Release January 15, 2027 in the US, nothing announced for Europe
PokeGuardian, ICv2 and PokéZentrum give January 15, 2027 as the release date for US retail. An earlier report, cited from PokeBeach, mentioned January 27, 2027, but later coverage of the official reveal says January 15.
Data: PokeGuardian (Oct 29, 2026), ICv2 (Oct 30, 2026), PokéZentrum (Oct 29, 2026), Pokelix (Oct 30, 2026).
Europe has no announcement at all. Pokelix says no German or European release has been announced, and PokéZentrum says it is unclear whether the box will be sold outside the US. Every photo so far shows the English version only.
- October 29, 2026. Product reveal and first reports (PokeGuardian, PokéZentrum).
- October 30, 2026. ICv2 reports the $14.99 price and the January 15 date.
- October 31, 2026. First preorder from a US shop appears in CardPulse data.
- January 15, 2027. Planned US release, a month before Valentine's Day on February 14.
Only 30 days separate the release from Valentine's Day. That is tight if the box has to reach you through an import. Anyone planning it as a gift should expect an order from the US to take a while, and shops in Europe may not carry it at all.

💰 Compare prices →Price: $14.99 for 20 packs, first preorder at $29.95
At the MSRP of $14.99, one pack costs $0.75 and one card costs $0.25. The only offer in CardPulse data is a preorder from a US shop at $29.95, which is 99.8% above the MSRP.
Data: MSRP according to PokeGuardian and ICv2 (Oct 29-30, 2026); offer according to CardPulse, US, as of Nov 2, 2026 (offer unavailable, preorder).
| Price | Box | Per pack (20) | Per card (60) |
|---|---|---|---|
| MSRP (US) | $14.99 | $0.75 | $0.25 |
| Preorder in CardPulse data (US) | $29.95 | $1.50 | $0.50 |
A high preorder price does not mean the box will cost that much after release. Shops often list products at a placeholder price before they know the wholesale cost. That is a hypothesis, not a fact, and we will test it once more offers appear.
Tip: do not preorder at twice the MSRP. On a $14.99 product that is $15 extra, and the release is more than two months away.
No offers in Poland or Germany for now
As of November 2, CardPulse found Valentine's Box in no Polish or German shop. A search for "valentine" returned one result in the US and none in Poland or Germany.
Once the box reaches European shops, you will see it in the CardPulse search. Until then, prices in zloty or euros would be pure speculation, so we do not give any.
Trick or Trade as a benchmark: single mini packs from 6.99 PLN, 2 EUR and $1
The Halloween Trick or Trade mini packs, also 3 cards each, cost from 6.99 PLN in Poland, from €2 in Germany and from $1 in the US on November 2. That is what the market pays for a single pack from a seasonal product after the season has passed.
Data: lowest prices of in-stock offers according to CardPulse, Nov 2, 2026; single Trick or Trade packs from 2022-2024, English edition.
| Country | Single mini pack (in stock) | Shops with stock | Year |
|---|---|---|---|
| Poland | 6.99-10.99 PLN | 2 | 2023 |
| Germany | €2-3.99 | 4 | 2022-2024 |
| US | $1-1.99 | 2 | 2023 |
In the US, a single Trick or Trade pack costs $1-1.99 today, which is more than the $0.75 per pack in Valentine's Box at MSRP. If you buy the whole box at MSRP, each pack costs you less than a single seasonal mini pack on the secondary market.
Per card, the picture is similar. The cheapest Trick or Trade pack in stock in the US ($1 for 3 cards) works out to $0.33 per card, while Valentine's Box at MSRP is $0.25 per card. At the $29.95 preorder, a card would cost $0.50, which is one and a half times the price in a single Trick or Trade pack. So the MSRP looks reasonable, and a preorder at twice the MSRP does not.
In Poland, single Trick or Trade packs are in stock at 2 shops, and unavailable offers were priced from 3.99 to 5.99 PLN. The spread is wide because there are few offers. With only a handful of listings, one cheap item can change the whole picture of the market.
Three Trick or Trade editions: 40, 50 and 35 packs
Trick or Trade came in a different size each year. According to PokéZentrum's overview (Oct 29, 2026) and the offer descriptions, the 2022 edition had 40 packs, the 2023 edition 50, and the 2024 edition 35 mini packs of 3 cards each.
Valentine's Box with its 20 packs is therefore smaller than every Trick or Trade edition. That fits the price: $14.99 for 20 packs is less than half of a typical Halloween box. When comparing prices, always check the year, because listings for different Trick or Trade editions have similar names but a different number of packs.
Polish listings show this clearly. One unavailable offer titled "Trick or Trade 2023 - booster bundle - 35 boosters" cost 79 PLN, while an in-stock 2023 bundle with 50 boosters cost 449.99 PLN. The pack count in the first title does not match the year, so it is worth asking the shop what exactly is in the box before you buy.
Bundles after the season: in Europe 50 packs for €169.99 and 449.99 PLN
Full Trick or Trade boxes are expensive in Europe: the 2023 bundle with 50 packs cost €169.99 at one German shop and 449.99 PLN at one Polish shop on November 2. In the US, all full-box offers were unavailable.
Data: in-stock offers according to CardPulse, Nov 2, 2026; Trick or Trade 2023 bundle (50 mini packs), English edition; US offers unavailable, last prices $15-24.99.
| Trick or Trade 2023 (50 packs) | Price | Per pack | Cheapest single pack |
|---|---|---|---|
| Germany | €169.99 | €3.40 | €2.00 |
| Poland | 449.99 PLN | 9.00 PLN | 6.99 PLN |
After the season, a full box in Europe therefore costs more per pack than single mini packs: €1.40 more in Germany and 2.01 PLN more in Poland. That is the reverse of the usual pattern for sealed products, where the bigger package is cheaper per unit.
One possible explanation: seasonal products sold mainly in the US reach Europe through small import batches, and shops price them like collectibles. That is a hypothesis. We will test it on Valentine's Box prices once the box shows up in Polish and German shops.
What this means for Valentine's Box
- In the US, at MSRP. $0.75 per pack is less than a single Trick or Trade pack costs on the secondary market today ($1-1.99).
- In Europe, probably more. If Valentine's Box reaches Europe only through imports, its price may behave like Trick or Trade: clearly above the converted US price. That is a scenario, not a forecast.
- Single packs later. With Trick or Trade, single packs showed up in Polish and German shops after the season. If you want a few packs rather than a whole box, waiting may pay off.
Do not confuse it with the Love Ball Tin
If you search for "love", you will land on the 2022 Poké Ball Tin "Love Ball". On November 2 it was in stock at one shop in Poland for 499.99 PLN, and at one shop in the US for $85.99 (unavailable). It is a completely different, older product: a tin shaped like a Love Ball, not a Valentine's box with mini packs.
Mix-ups like this are common with seasonal releases, because shops are still writing their listings. You can recognize the real Valentine's Box by its full name "Valentine's Box with Collect & Share Booster Packs", by the count of 20 packs of 3 cards and by the age mark 6+ on the packaging.
- Name. "Pokémon TCG: Valentine's Box", sometimes with "Collect & Share" added.
- Contents. 20 packs of 3 cards, a mailbox, 5 sticker sheets. A different pack count means a different product or an error in the listing.
- Price. The US MSRP is $14.99. An offer of several dozen dollars or several hundred zloty needs a closer look at what the shop is actually selling.
Who Valentine's Box is for, and who should skip it
Valentine's Box is a product for giving away: 20 small packs and a mailbox for cards. For collectors and investors in sealed product, its value is unknown for now, because nobody knows which cards are inside.
- Parents and teachers. 20 packs make 20 small gifts, for a class for example. That is the main purpose of the product, also suggested by the line "Share the fun of Pokémon with friends!" on the box and the 6+ mark.
- Seasonal collectors. The first Valentine's box in Pokémon TCG history may be interesting as a keepsake. Until the card list is out, though, it is a purchase for the packaging, not the cards.
- Players. Mini packs of 3 cards rarely hold cards that matter in tournament play. We do not yet know whether this one will be different.
- Investors. No data, no card list, no European price. There is nothing to base a decision on, and we do not give investment advice.
Forum reports include a few individual opinions. One PokeBeach user first took the announcement for a fake, then called the box cute once it was confirmed. Another compared it to a box of chocolates for swapping. These are single voices, not a survey of the community.
How to buy it: US vs Europe in 5 steps
In the US the box is planned as regular retail at $14.99, and the first shop asks $29.95, twice the MSRP. In Europe the only sure route today is import from the US, so it is better to wait for more offers and compare prices.
- Do not order right away. With one offer at $29.95, there is nothing to compare the price with. Wait until several shops list it.
- Set up a watch. Enter "valentine" in the CardPulse search and check back from time to time, especially in December and January.
- In Europe, count the full import cost. On top of the US price, add shipping, import VAT, possible customs duty and the carrier's clearance fee. CardPulse does not include these costs. In the US, shipping from the shop is the main extra.
- Check the timing. Release on January 15, Valentine's Day on February 14. With shipping from the US to Europe, little time is left.
- Compare with the alternative. If it is a gift for a child, single boosters or small collections from local shops may be simpler and cheaper.
We compared single Pokémon booster prices in an article on single booster prices of older sets. You can follow current releases and preorders in the release calendar.
What CardPulse will show once offers appear
When Valentine's Box reaches more shops, CardPulse will show it in a price comparison for the US, Germany and Poland. For each offer you will see the price, availability, shop and shipping cost, and on the product page a chart of the lowest price and the median.
Prices at preorder and in the first days after release can differ a lot between shops, and a $5-10 difference on a $14.99 box is a gap of several dozen percent. The chart shows whether the price drops or rises after release.
With a free account you can set a price alert: you choose a threshold, and a notification arrives in the bell on the site when the price falls below it. For Valentine's Box, a sensible threshold in the US is around the $14.99 MSRP, while for Poland and Germany you can only set it after the first offers appear.
Alternatives available right now
If you want small Pokémon gifts for Valentine's Day, you do not have to wait for the release. It is enough to compare prices of single boosters and small sets that shops have in stock.
- Single boosters. Compare them on the CardPulse home page by entering a set name.
- Trick or Trade mini packs. From 6.99 PLN at 2 Polish shops, also 3 cards each, and from $1 in the US.
- Small collections and blisters. Check them in the sets overview and on the price pages of individual products.
What we know and what we do not: status as of November 2, 2026
The name, the contents according to the packaging, the $14.99 MSRP and the January 15, 2027 US date are certain. Which cards are inside, whether the box reaches Europe and what it will cost there are all unknown.
| Topic | Status | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Contents: 20 packs of 3 cards, mailbox, 5 sticker sheets | confirmed | packaging, PokeGuardian |
| MSRP $14.99 | confirmed in reports | PokeGuardian, ICv2 |
